Music
History Our beautiful Pipe Organ has been a feature of our heritage listed Church since it was installed in the new Holy Trinity in 1930. This organ replaced the much larger instrument lost in the fire that destroyed the old wooden Church in 1929.
The organ was built by Whitehouse Brothers of Red Hill Brisbane, at an initial cost of 560 pounds. The steel grey pipes were painted gold during the 1990's to fulfill the original designer's intention. When first built, provision was made for another nine stops (voices) to be added to the existing selections.
During 2001 the Organ was rebuilt and moved out into the Church allowing more of it's beautiful sound to fill the Church, at a cost of $30,000.00. Only two of the proposed original nine stops have been added in the past 77 years.
Our first organist was Mr Norman H Ahlbrand and other long-serving organists have been Mr Eric Johnston, Miss Dorothy Chessher and our current organist, Mr Garry Smith. |

I appreciate the careful attention to detail with our vows and the rehersal. We got it absolutely right.
